Miraculous Menopause

Ahhh – wonderful womanhood! First you are straddled with a monthly reminder that you are a woman, anywhere from the age of nine on up to the later teen years. Then you have the honor, and it really is an honor, of bearing children, and most often, primary responsibility for raising them. And finally…you move through your adult years to marvelous, miraculous menopause!

Miraculous Menopause

What? Miraculous menopause you say? Then you haven’t yet reached the tender age of hot flashes and night sweats!

Most women approach menopause with a great deal of fear and trepidation. They’ve heard the horror stories – stories about soaking wet sheets, stories about hot flashes, irritability, depression, inability to concentrate, decreased sex drive and fatigue.

Instead of looking at menopause as an ending, try shifting your focus. Look at it instead as a beginning – the beginning of the second half of your life, free from the worry of pregnancy and relieved of your monthly period and all the hormonal symptoms that accompanied it!

With all the recent controversy surrounding hormone replacement therapy and health risks, there are alternatives to make menopause less stressful, such as regular exercise, herbal supplements, mind-body feedback, and of course, chiropractic adjustments. A healthy lifestyle, one free from smoking and excessive drinking, that includes healthy nutrition and regular cholesterol, blood pressure, weight and stress monitoring and management also goes a long way to alleviate the more undesirable symptoms of menopause.

Menopause is a time of change – positive change – time to be, feel, act, live, and enjoy life the way you want to, finally free from many of the parental responsibilities that tied you down for so many years. It is a time to start something new, develop a new skill, learn to fly, take a class, volunteer for a good cause, have lunch with friends, travel and so much more.

It is a time to discover and unleash all of your potential and to rid yourself of the behaviors, actions and people who no longer serve you well and to good purpose. It is a time to look forward to a glorious future, filled with endless possibilities for a bountiful and blessed life.

It is indeed miraculous menopause!

Dr. David Asks some important questions of interest to Suwanee residents - Chiropractor Suwanee Dr. David Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
