Automobile Injury or Personal Injury?

Suwanee Auto AccidentsYou were driving to work or home, on an errand, stopped for traffic or a red light. In a split second someone fails to stop in time and hits you. Your emotions range from relief that you are not seriously injured, to upset over the incident. The police investigate; you leave with the other driver’s insurance information and a drivable car, wondering how bad the damage will be.

How Bad is it?

You felt a sense of shock at the moment you were hit. Maybe you felt soreness or pain. Perhaps you think you are OK; a hot shower and you will be fine. You get home and look at your car again. Your thoughts turn to how and where you are going to get it fixed. Concern about your car, interim transportation, and dealing with the other person’s insurance fill your mind. There is a tendency to overlook your injuries because of the other concerns.

The Next Morning

It takes at least 12 to 24 hours for the inflammation to set in after an accident. You awake and feel worse than before you went to bed. If you go to a medical doctor or even the emergency room most of the time there are no fractures but the pain is awful. You are given a prescription for pain pills, anti-inflammatories, or muscle relaxers. But you can’t take some of them while driving or at work. You feel better while you are taking them, but the symptoms return.

Can chiropractic relieve PMS?
If you have subluxations, especially in the lower spine that impair nerves that direct and monitor the reproductive and hormonal systems, chiropractic could be helpful. Undetected subluxations may also be responsible for pelvic pain, incontinence, sexual dysfunction and even infertility. Maybe chiropractic can help. Find out!
Do nerves actually get pinched?
Chiropractors recognize two types of nerve disorders involved in subluxation. The least common is a pinched nerve that diminishes nerve supply to an affected organ or tissue. More common is the irritated nerve (facilitative lesion) which overexcites nerve communications to an affected organ or tissue. Chiropractic care has been shown to help with both types.
